Anabela Cardoso is the global brand development (GBD) lead overseeing the baricitinib development program for Lilly’s immunology portfolio.
In her three-year tenure at Lilly, Anabela also has served as a senior director on the global medical launch team and as a global medical launch leader for immunology.
Prior to joining Lilly, Anabela held leaderships positions at several global pharmaceutical companies including AbbVie, Abbott and Merck within the immunology field.
Anabela is a certified rheumatologist and received her doctor of medicine from Oporto University in Portugal, where she participated in the rheumatology residency program at the University Hospital S. Joao. In addition, she earned a master of business administration (MBA) from the Instituto Superior de Gestão in Lisbon.
